Wire and Obstacle Environment Awareness

The Wire and Obstacle Environment Awareness Course provides information and suggested procedures for pilots, non-pilot flightcrew members and supplementary or ground crew members conducting flight operations in the low level environment. This course is offered online or can be presented in-classroom for group bookings. The online course is self-paced for the convenience of students. This program is also the only Wire and Obstacle course of its type that offers a university certificate and CEU’s for completion by students.
If you are involved in low level flight operations including Search & Rescue (SAR), Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Powerline Inspection, Policing, Wildfire/Bush Fire Fighting Operations, Aerial Crane, Agriculture or Aerial Survey, this course is for you! These activities and others like them expose flightcrews to the danger of ground and airborne based obstacles that crews need to be aware of to mitigate the risk.
